When things don’t go well at your favorite restaurant, do you complain? Most of us do.
When things go well at your favorite restaurant, do you call for the manager and praise the server and food? Unfortunately, most of us don’t.
When I see our great nation disintegrating and falling down around our ears, you often read my complaints right here in GA Patriot.
However, today it is time for a little praise.
Yes, our world is still falling apart. The Department of Justice is still disinterested in looking at the crimes of Joe and Hunter Biden but has plenty of time to investigate and indict Donald Trump.
Yes, there are still questions about our elections.
Yes, our government school system is still graduating functionally illiterate seniors, and the university system doesn’t do much better.
Yes, our military generals still seem incapable of actually winning a war.
I could go on, but if you’ve been with GA Patriot for long, you have already heard my view on most of these things. So why do I see a glimmer of light from out of the gloom?
According to census.gov, America’s population stands at just over 335 million.
According to usafacts.org, in May 2021, federal, state, and local governments employed 23.7 million people. We could probably double that number when we include government contractors and lobbyists, so let’s call it 50 million.
When we understand how many Americans eat at the government trough, we can understand why we have so much trouble making significant changes to shrink the government.
Democrats, and to a lesser extent far too many Republicans are afraid to lose votes by eliminating jobs and programs. As Ronald Reagan said:
“No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth!”
No wonder we liked Ronald Reagan!
But I hear you saying, “I still don’t see your glimmer of light.”
Well, here it is. Those who work for the government will seldom vote for a Republican., so we can just about write them off. Nevertheless, there are more of us than there are of them. So, the answer is for the majority to get better representation.
To do that we vote out the Democrats and the RINOs, Republicans In Name Only. These go along to get along Republicans are destroying us.
But, most Americans don’t care about politics, they are more interested in living their life, raising their kids, having some fun along the way, retiring, having more fun, and then moving out of this life to the next.
So far that has been possible. However, look at the house of cards that the ruling class has created for us. And I do say they created it for us because they think they can protect themselves. Rules for thee but not for me. When we realistically look at that, we see it will soon be coming to an end unless we get better representation.
And you say, “Donnie, that doesn’t sound very hopeful. That doesn’t look like a glimmer of light. That sounds painful.”
It is and it will be, but here is our glimmer of light. The left has overplayed its hand, and every day more Americans understand that.
In 2008, Americans saw the economy in near collapse. Americans watched what the ruling class did to fix the problem, and saw they were only heaping debt on us, to protect their buddies. But Americans began to awaken.
Americans watched as the military-industrial complex continued to half-heartedly prosecute wars, wars that did not benefit America. But wars that sure did help Raytheon, TRW, Boeing, and the rest of the retired general’s friends. Still, it was America’s sons and daughters who came home in a casket or came home torn and mangled. Americans saw that and began to awaken.
Americans watched as the educational system began to indoctrinate our sons and daughters in transgender ideology. The government educational system worked to hide the facts from parents. Parents who had a legitimate right to know what the schools were doing to their children, were denied. Americans saw this tragedy and even more began to awaken.
Americans saw what the medical-industrial complex did to our nation, and our people when a bad flu called Covid-19 was unleashed on our shores. A virus deemed to be so deadly, the ruling class had no choice but to shut down an entire economy to “protect us.” They forced us to wear useless masks and threatened our jobs if we didn’t take their phony vaccine. A vaccine which we now know was neither safe nor effective. Americans now see how the ruling class prospered during that time, but how the rest of America suffered. More Americans began to awaken.
Americans saw how parents attending school board meetings, attempting to “peacefully and patriotically” protect their children, were called domestic terrorists by the FBI and the Department of Justice. Parents were told they had no say in the matter because the ruling class owned their children. And still more Americans began to awaken.
With each draconian ruling class decision, Americans awakened to the realization that the government was not on our side. We understood that the ruling class despised us.
We learned about them, but the ruling class didn’t learn about us. Now the ruling class is truly ignorant of what they have done to the American populace.
The Washington Times reports that former DNC Chairwoman, Donna Brazile was asked about American politics Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” She seemed utterly confused that Donald Trump would still have so much American support after his 4 indictments. Brazile said:
“I’ve never seen anything like this with Donald Trump… This is a movement, And anyone who thinks that you can apply the old political rules to try to defeat this candidate based on he’s scary, he’s ugly, whatever you might want to call him, this is a movement. And we have to respect the fact that it’s a movement.”
Really! The elite ruling class is so smart, but they don’t understand.
And there you have it. Did you see it? Did you see that glimmer of light? The ruling class doesn’t have a clue why they’re despised by true Americans. They live in their bubbles, rubbing shoulders with those who are just like them. They all view us, the great unwashed, as deplorables and inferior to them. How could they understand? They hide from the truth under each other’s skirts like a young child.
Yet perhaps there’s hope for even the elite. On August 2, 2023, David Brooks of the NY Times wrote a piece questioning whether they are the reason Trump is so popular. Do you think so?
His commentary entitled, What if We’re the Bad Guys Here? is an interesting read. He almost stumbled into the truth of Trump’s popularity with those of us in fly-over country—but not quite. Give him time.
The ruling class insulates themselves from the damage they inflict on the rest of America. The ruling class takes care of each other. They view themselves as saviors of humanity, as having all the right answers. Why? Because after all, they went to Ivy League Schools.
I am not opposed to education, and I feel we should never stop learning. However, that learning does not always come from an elite institution. I didn’t go to an elite university, but I learned much, and I’d never trade it.
Further, there is much to be learned from living in the real world and experiencing real struggles. Some of the smartest people I know had very little formal education. Conversely, some of the dumbest people I know have plenty of education, yet they still know nothing.
Donald Trump is an interesting character in history. Though he has made billions during his lifetime, he is as comfortable talking to the construction workers on his projects as he is with the architects who design them. Despite his flaws, we all have flaws you know, he understands people. The ruling class didn’t like him, but real Americans saw conditions improving for us, thanks to Donald Trump’s policy.
Yes, I see a glimmer of light, as Americans have awakened to the contrast between the Trump administration and former Vice President Biden’s administration.
Under Trump, the economy grew, and taxes and regulations were removed. Under Trump, the middle class grew, Blacks and Hispanics gained better employment, and succeeded in moving more solidly into the middle class. Under Trump, America was, once again respected and feared, around the world. Under Trump, America gained so much.
Under Biden, we see rampant inflation, poor job growth, an open border, and drug and alcohol abuse at ever-increasing levels. Under Biden, we see corruption and treason at the highest levels. Under Biden, other nations treat us with contempt and disrespect. Under Biden, we have a two-tiered justice system, and we see the justice system using its authority to prevent Trump from Making America Great Again. We may soon see this Justice Department coming after all those who speak out against them.
Yes, there’s a glimmer of light. Americans are seeing the truth and are determined to take our great nation back from the leftist bullies and thugs who make up the ruling class.
The Republican party is not perfect, but the true Americans in it still love America, and we are trying to reestablish stability for all Americans.
We need your help. Will you join us?
GP, As usual a succinct powerful commentary. More Americans are waking up to the criminal and treasonous actions of the DemonRats, However they are so entrenched in every aspect of US government only a financial crash can push them out. But even then, like cockroaches that go infesting other communities. Every voter needs to remember the God of creation Yehovah hold your vote accountable. So if one voted for Clinton, Obama, Hillary, Biden or any democrat forcing child sacrifice euphemistically called abortion, That person is responsible for the abomination and accountable.
